COVID - 19: a MAPC Update

We at MAPC take COVID – 19 very seriously, as do all Manitobans. The health and safety of our staff, Board of Directors, membership and public at large is of utmost importance to us. MAPC will be following the recommendations put forth by the Province. The MAPC office is closed to the public for the week of March 16-20 as our staff will be working from home. (Further closures to be determined over the next week). Emails to info@mapc.mb.ca and execdirector@mapc.mb.ca, as well as voicemails, will be checked regularly. Best efforts will be made to be as responsive as possible. Unfortunately, all presentations have been cancelled until further notice. The MAPC AGM and the Conference have both been postponed and you will be notified as soon as new event dates can be confirmed safely.

Since schools are shutting down, please check out our Facebook page for activities and learning websites for your children for the time they are home.

Please follow instructions from reputable sources such as the World Health Organization and your local government. For up-to-date information including fact sheets, commonly asked questions and answers, posters encouraging proper hand hygiene and more, please go to the Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living website: (www.gov.mb.ca/heath/coronavirus/index.html).

Please take care of yourselves and your families. Check on an elderly or vulnerable friend or neighbour to make sure they have what they need. These are trying times but Manitobans are known to pull together through trying times!
